Ever since Cashmere Cat (a.k.a. Magnus August Høiberg) dropped the Wedding Bells EP in 2014, the Norwegian producer has been busy collaborating with some of music’s biggest names, including Kanye West, Ariana Grande, and A$AP Ferg. Later this year, through Benny Blanco’s label Mad Love, he’s finally set to release his debut album, Wild Love.

This past week, Cashmere Cat shared the self-titled single from his upcoming project, a glamorous song featuring the impeccable voice of The Weeknd (a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye), as well as the Francis Farewell Starlite-led musical project called Francis and the Lights. The song is a wondrous track littered with harmonious auto-tuned vocals and The Weeknd’s blissful crooning. The collaborative forces are a match made in electro-heaven, as Cashmere Cat provides dreamy and soulful production that tickles the soul. The production gives off a dreary winter vibe, while the Weeknd’s falsetto voice melts right over the track. Francis and the Lights provide clean layers of auto-tuned harmonies that float effortlessly over the minimalistic beat.

The single is currently available on all major streaming platforms, and although Cashmere Cat’s album Wild Love has yet to be given a set release date, the project is expected to drop sometime before the end of this year. In the meantime, you can sit back, pack up The Weeknd-branded PAX vaporizer, and stream this dope new track.
