As legal weed takes hold in states around the country, the discussion has largely shifted from prohibition to regulation. In California and Washington, local legislators have given some of their focus to highway billboards, where overt cannabis advertising has been banned. Lawmakers have found success in blocking weed ads, but there are no rules about billboards promoting other products making jokes about weed, a point made very clear by a new McDonald’s advertisement near the New Mexico – Colorado border.

According to New Mexico’s KRQE News, a billboard for McDonald’s green chile breakfast burrito with the slogan “Usually, when you roll something this good, it’s illegal!” has gone viral and brought attention to the bland stretch of highway.

The Golden Arches haven’t commented on the billboard’s newfound fame, but it does seem like a new direction for the family-friendly burger chain.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a fast-food joint has advertised directly to their hungriest customers – in fact Jack in the Box once used an entire taco-based ad campaign to try and persuade potheads to stop by post-hot box.
