Update (September 19, 2016)
The NFL has effectively banned adidas-manufactured “Yeezy” cleats during games, handing out a $6,000 fine to Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who wore the swagged out shoes during a recent game. Players can continue to rock the fly cleats during practice. The shoe's black-and-white speckled colorway is a violation of the league's uniform rules which dictate that all players shoes have to have a solid base color. The only exception to this rule apparently were players who donned patirotic-themed cleats in honor of September 11th.

Original Report (September 11, 2016)
In seasons’ past, style was limited on the football field. Usually, players would just wear cleats from their respective sponsors. And for the most part, they all looked the same. But today’s players demand style that sticks out on the field. As such, adidas has gifted two of its athletes with custom Yeezy cleats.
The debut of Kanye West’s first cleats, as reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller of the Denver Broncos took the field in a pair of Yeezy Boost 750 cleats in a win over the Carolina Panthers. Following up on Miller’s pair, Houston Texans star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins shared an image of his custom Yeezy 350 Boost “Turtle Dove” cleats that he will be lacing up when he takes on the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
When Kanye West first signed with adidas, the company was very adamant about incorporating Ye’s innovative designs into the brand’s sports identity.
Adidas plans to roll out more Yeezy sports equipment for basketball, soccer and beyond. Here’s to many more.
