The #FreeWeed initiative aims to liberate marijuana from its political restraints and to give it the legal status it rightfully deserves. We’re asking people within our community to create videos, selfies, photos, memes, music, and art, and post it to social media using the hashtag #FreeWeed and tagging @MerryJane. To get weed-hating lawmakers to understand our stories, we have to share them.
MERRY JANE ventured out to Venice Beach this week to speak with people about marijuana legalization. From everyday Americans to tourists from countries like Ukraine, Italy, and Australia, they sometimes had differing viewpoints on legalization and how it should be implemented, but more often than not, most of them saw the importance of marijuana to people who need it.
