BudGenius is a Carlsbad-based cannabis testing company that looks to tap Tommy Chong of Cheech & Chong fame as the face of their latest upcoming products.
Chong will be heading a slew of products ranging from pipes to clothing wipes designed to remove the smell of marijuana. He'll even have his own "Chongwater," a hemp-infused beverage with vitamins and antioxidants as well. “In addition to being a celebrity, CEO of BudGenius Angel Stanz said, Chong is a cancer survivor and has spoken about how cannabis products helped him during his treatments."
BudGenius tests the percentage of THC in various strains and cannabis products and also for the presence of mold or pesticides. With hopes of forthcoming legalization in California, brands are looking to establish themselves in the space with quality assurance and celebrity backing.
