The Weeknd Releases Short Film “M A N I A” Featuring Music from “Starboy”

A visual tease to hold fans over until the album's release on November 25.

The world is anxiously awaiting what The Weeknd has been cooking up for his third studio release, Starboy, which is due out November 25. In order to hold fans over until Friday, The Weeknd has mysteriously released a short film that features new music from the album. "M A N I A" follows Abel through a series of strange encounters, opening with a shot of a black panther (seemingly The Weeknd’s alter-ego) and then swiftly carrying us through the hills in a fresh whip before en route to finding the girl of his dreams at a club.

The film combines aesthetically pleasing visuals, violence, and of course new tunes we’ll all be bumping into the new year. Starboy features guest appearances from Daft Punk, Lana Del Rey, Future, and Kendrick Lamar and will release on all streaming platforms November 25.
