Under Armour certainly has 2-time reigning NBA MVP Steph Curry to thank for its recent surge in profitability. But that doesn’t mean that Curry’s shoes can all be deemed “fresh.” In fact, Internet trolls are having a field day with Under Armour’s latest Curry 2 Low release, dubbed the “Chef,” in lieu of the superstar’s nickname.

The white low tops have become the target of some serious roasting. Some more obvious callouts indicate that they look like shoes that nurses or retirement home residents would wear. The bland design has been likened to the Jordan Crying Face meme personified. And much like Steph Curry’s performance in the current NBA Finals, the shoes are flat out underwhelming.

Considering the “Chef” theme, you’d think that Under Armour would design these shoes like a five-course meal from a Michelin starred restaurant. But instead, we’re left with a heavy heap of unidentified goop from the lunch lady.

Despite the hate, the Under Armour Curry 2 Low “Chef” is slated to hit stores on June 11.
