The name George Zimmer might not be a household name for all, but there's no doubt that you know his legacy.
That's right – the guy you confidently told men all around the world that he would guarantee that they'd like the way they look. That's the guy.
Zimmer is the founder of the popular Men's Wearhouse clothing chain and more recently, Generation Tux, and individually, he is worth about $150 million. He has also been a very vocal supporter of cannabis throughout his time in the press, even going so far as donating $50,000 to California's (failed) Proposition 19 bill from 2010 that campaigned for the legalization of marijuana.
Last week, Zimmer was the keynote speaker at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Expo in Los Angeles where he adamantly expressed his position in favor of marijuana legalization. "Everybody in the country knows what the truth here is, except the 535 people we elect to make these decisions in Washington, D.C. It's astounding," Zimmer said at the event.
Now, more than ever, the support of recognized business players in cannabis will be vital in the growth of this quickly expanding industry.
