Rumors have been circulating the Internet about what company legends Eric Koston and Guy Mariano would land on ever since their surprising departure from longtime board sponsors Girl Skateboards. Given that it’s been over a year, speculation was that they were working on creating their own brand.
As of yesterday, the rumors are officially true, as the creation of the company Numbers was announced via Instagram. The team was also announced, and it’s a heavy roster featuring the likes of wunderkind Miles Silvas, the incomparable Rodrigo TX, and super-am Antonio Durao in addition to Koston and Mariano.
In addition to the Instagram announcement yesterday, Numbers has also released their first official edit, “est.12:45.” today. Clocking in at 10 minutes, this is the first footage of the team together, and all the casual nature of it makes for pleasurable viewing. While some of the “fun” might seem a bit forced for the camera, it definitely showcases the talent of the team, as well as what looks to be good team chemistry. However, don’t let this laidback edit fool you, we predict plenty of mind-blowing footage in the near future.
