After having already tapped Spike Jonze to direct a commercial for their new “Kenzo World” fragrance, haute-couture label Kenzo’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon chose Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein to direct a short film in support of their Fall-Winter 2016 collection.

Entitled “The Realest Real,” it stars Laura Harrier and Natasha Lyonne in an amusing premise that examines the impact that social media has on our perception of reality, and the increasingly blurred line between the real and digital world. It also features cameos from Mahershala Ali and former Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon, the lot of them dressed to the nines in the newest Kenzo collection.

Watch “The Realest Real” here and think about how your social media persona may differ from who you are in “real” life.
