If you think you haven’t heard of Alexis Ohanian, there’s a great chance you did in December, when Ohanian reached the mountaintop and placed an engagement ring on the finger of tennis champion Serena Williams (inspiring Drake to write “Nothings Into Somethings” in the process).
While the engagement unquestionably boosted Ohanian’s name recognition with the public at large, the man has already made a name for himself within the tech industry—and you likely use the website that he helped create. Ohanian is the co-founder of Reddit, which he started with his college friend, Steve Huffman, in 2005.
The popular news and discussion website has grown into a digital juggernaut, boasting some 234 million unique users and 8 billion pageviews a month. In fact, it’s become so successful that in 2014, a major round of investment saw the company’s value rise to $500 million. And one of the investors in that round? Snoop Dogg.
Take a peek at the latest episode of GGN, as Snoop speaks with Ohanian about founding Reddit, and the topic still eating at everyone’s minds—President Donald Trump.
