Dezeray Risner of Springfield, Ohio, was blindsided when she found an unwanted surprise in her daughter’s Wendy’s french fries. Surprisingly and strangely, Risner found marijuana and pieces of a blunt mixed in with the fries.
Risner immediately reported the incident to the police. “So I told her to spit it in my hand, (and) I just kind of reached my arm back,” Risner told FOX 25. “She did and when I looked at it, you could see it. It was chewed up with the French fries. There was the weed in there, the wrap that it goes in or whatever. I freaked out.” Local police confirmed that the fries contained marijuana. According to the Huber Heights’ police report, Risner’s four-year-old daughter Adrienne said the “tasted funny and were “yucky.’”

A police officer questioned the shift manager and three employees of the Wendy’s location. Two of the three employees admitted to smoking marijuana, but no illegal substances were found on the premises. Risner believes it belonged to one of the employees and somehow ended up in the fries.
“My four year old child was chewing on someone’s blunt! You can see and smell plain as day that this is in fact weed in my baby’s food!” The furious mother posted on Facebook.
Wendy’s quickly responded with a statement the day after Risner posted the pictures on Facebook. “Please know all of our customers as well as the quality and integrity of our food are a top priority at Wendy’s and we are taking this very seriously,” the restaurant chain stated.
There are much worse things that have been found in Wendy’s food such as burgers tainted with glass. A 3-year-old in Michigan bit into the burger, slicing her mouth. Wendy’s fries, however, are a perfect late-night munchie despite the risks.
