Rodney Mullen and Daewon Song’s Almost Skateboards just acquired an unbelievable new team member. His name’s Fran Molina. To commemorate the union the Spanish rider’s newest part just dropped on Thrasher and it goes pretty damn hard. His skating abilities are mind-bendingly incredible. His style is equal parts effortless conversion and superhuman technique, flowing in and out of flatground tricks like water and then twisting into dizzying ledge variations. The way he finesses some of his switch landings you’d swear the man has eyes in the back of his head.

There’s absolutely no doubt that Spain— skating in Barcelona in particular—breeds a certain caliber of four-wheeled specialists. Spots like the MACBA (Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art) are incubators for skaters to become supreme ledge surgeons and high-flyers, and boy does it show for Molina.

Without pulling any strings, this “Bienvenido” part is a true highlight reel where almost every trick could have taken the place of his ender. I mean, a kickflip onto a waist-high smith grind isn’t the fade to black finale? That’s just way too much insane pop and technique to be internationally legal.
