For millennia believers have performed countless strange or taboo rituals in name of religion.  Examples include not wearing clothing, using illegal drugs, and even the consumption of human flesh.

For the Aghori, it's all of the above, making them one of the most controversial religious sects in India, if not the world. Along with nudity and masochism, the Aghori are notorious for consuming copious amounts of cannabis.

MERRY JANE's Mareesa Stertz traveled to the largest religious celebration in the world – Kumbh Mela – in Allahabad, India to search for the elusive Aghori…and hopefully smoke some weed with them.
