It took almost 16 years, a ton of public outcry and over $2 million in crowdfunding, but every stoner’s favorite fictional cops are finally returning for Super Troopers 2, which is now set for a highly appropriate 4/20 theatrical release.
After the original film (a stoner comedy about the misadventures of some less-than-noble Vermont highway patrol officers) achieved endlessly quotable cult-classic status, the entire patrol team has signed on for the sequel they promise will be “the best movie ever.”
In the first look at the upcoming cop comedy, the crew is back to their old shenanigans, with plenty of shaving cream, Candian mounty outfits and a whole lotta Farva.
There’s still over a half a year before we’ll actually get to watch the sequel, but after almost two decades since the first film released, what’s another few months? After all, who doesn’t love an extra activity to add to next year’s schedule of high holiday events?
