Snoop Dogg and Game Live-Stream Conversation With Police

Amid all of the recent controversy with police shootings, Snoop and Game look to make peace in the community

There’s no sugar-coating it, it’s been a rough couple of days in the United States. Witness footage captured two different instances of police officers killing apprehended black males, Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota.

Not too long after these unruly and unfortunate cases stormed social media, things took a turn for the worse as 12 police officers were shot, and five killed Thursday night during a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas, Texas.

Looking to bring the peace in a time of great unrest, two legendary Southern California rappers, Snoop Dogg and Game, took to the streets today to speak with police officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, looking to find a peaceful resolve this long-running racial issue.

The six minute conversation was streamed on Facebook Live, as the two hip-hop artists discussed empathy and justice with a police officer, showing that both sides had plenty to agree on.

The police officer shown in the video was constructing plans to have Snoop and Game meet new graduates from the police academy, while also discussing empathy for one another, as well as different ways to overcome this growing crisis in our country. After the conversation, the two artists gathered with others to line up shoulder-to-shoulder in front of the LAPD office, showcasing unity and empowerment within their community.

As you can see in the video stream, the two parties had nothing but respect for one another. This could be an important first step towards creating a more amicable relationship between the police and the African American community. You can rewatch the streamed video below from Snoop Dogg’s Facebook page.
