The beginning of October was an exciting time for residents living in Oregon. The state officially legalized recreational marijuana on October 1st, and already, the statistics are astounding and promising for the future of cannabis legalization.

The Oregon Retailers of Cannabis Association collected revenue data from the 1st to the 6th and were pleasantly surprised to find that within six days of legalization, Oregon sold $10.8 million worth of recreational cannabis.

Though customers are limited to only one quarter-ounce per day to purchase, seed sales are unlimited. ORCA has already projected that actual sales will likely "wildly surpass" what the state surmised for sales.

Congratulations, Oregon!
