New York state's first medical cannabis dispensaries are set to open in 2016.
Published on July 2, 2015

At the Cannabis World Congress and Business Exposition in Manhattan, small business and investors gathered to establish themselves prior to the upcoming shift in policy.  In 2016, New York state will legalize medical marijuana, opening the door to an entirely new market.

The cannabis industry is no joke. In states across the country where cannabis is yet to be legalized, hungry investors are able to clearly see the limitless force behind the fledgling marijuana market in green states such as Colorado, where businesses are booming. New York will have to wait until 2016 to truly embrace their pursuits legally and to the fullest, but keep your eyes on the evolution of cannabis culture in New York. Rubbing elbows with California, Washington and Colorado to name a few, once in place, it'll surely be something else.
