Licensing Lottery Process
To ensure a fair distribution of licenses, the Office of the Marijuana Commissioner (OMC) has implemented a lottery system. In December 2024, the OMC conducted a lottery for open retail licenses, advancing 529 applications to this stage. Selected applicants have been notified and are now undergoing a supplemental application process in preparation for conditional licensing.
