Over the weekend the Danish police announced that back in February, they uncovered 165 pounds of cannabis hidden in the ventilation system of the Copenhagen Opera House. Up until now they kept the discovery a secret as they were actively investigating the case.

After a seven month investigation, which included the installation of surveillance cameras with the hope that the culprit would return for the drugs, which yielded no leads, the police have given up on solving the case.

While the Opera House is located near Christiania's famous Pusher Street (an open air cannabis market) there is absolutely no evidence that it was to be the marijuana’s final destination.

The 165 pounds has been classified as “lost property,” and while only time will tell, we think it’s rather doubtful anyone will try to claim it. In any case, what a waste!
