Roll one up and ‘let it burn’ to Usher and Young Thug’s New Track “No Limit”.
Published on June 9, 2016

It’s been about four years since Usher’s last album Looking 4 Myself, but the hiatus doesn’t seem to have cooled off the prominent R&B artist at all. Although his eighth studio album—which was expected to drop back in 2014—has yet to be released, Usher has steadily released new tracks to keep his fans' thirst quenched, such as “Good Kisser” and “She Wanna Give It To You”. With long-awaited LP finally seeming to come together, Usher has just released his latest track “No Limit”, which features a hot verse from the esteemed Cash Money rapper Young Thug.

In the song, Usher pays serious homage to Master P, naming the track after the rapper-turned-entrepreneur’s record label, No Limit Records, and also claiming in the chorus that he’ll make his lovers “say uhh!” At first glance, the combination of Usher and Young Thug on track together might seem like a strange fit, but the R&B singer and booming rapper seem to complement each other perfectly. Thugger’s ad-libs float seamlessly in the backdrop of Usher’s catchy hook, while both of them spit verses rapidly over the reverberated, bass-driven beat.

The track certainly shows the versatility of Usher, who puts his falsetto singing voice aside for this song in order to show off his seldom-used hip-hop flow. Ultimately, Usher proves with this fiery track, which also serves as an ode to the great Master P, that when it comes to making expressive music, the well-established R&B singer truly has no limit to what he can do. “No Limit” isn’t the only track being unveiled by Usher this week, he’s also planning to release another single at midnight tonight, which is called “Crash”. You can listen to Usher and Young Thug’s new collaborative track “No Limit” on TIDAL right now.
