Chances are that you may have first heard of Underworld (and Ewan McGregor for that matter) through the 1996 classic Scottish film “Trainspotting,” in which the track “Born Slippy” was featured in the very memorable closing scene.
20 years later, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith are still making wonderful music, and released their 9th studio album, Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future this past March to a warm reception. It channels classic 90s electronic sounds and blends them with friendly vocals and synths, creating a sound that defines the UK duo distinctly.
On Tuesday, they released the video for “Ova Nova,” of Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future’s standout tracks. It features concert footage of the song being performed overlaid with a swirling kaleidoscopic filter of colors and lights.
Watch “Ova Nova” and remember to “ Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a fucking big television…”
