Most of you probably know Sampha best as SBTRKT’s vocal muse, as the songwriter and voice on the hook of Drake’s “Too Much” (sampled by his own track of the same name). He also brought life to Kanye’s TLOP late add track “Saint Pablo”.  Sampha was also one of the contributors to Frank Ocean’s Endless.

Despite being so busy writing and collaborating with such high profile artists, the producer, singer-songwriter and vocalist also has his debut album Process due to be released sometime in the near future. He’s previously released the Sundanza and Dual EPs, and released Process’s first single “Timmy’s Prayer” back in March.

In his newest single, ”Blood On Me,”  the Sampha’s sultry vocals ride over layers of harmonized choir vocals and a production of his own (with a little help from Scottish producer Rodaidh McDonald) that includes brooding piano keys and an assortment of upbeat percussions. The end result is uplifting without the corniness sometimes accompanies the inspirational.

Listen to “Blood On Me” and keep your eyes peeled for a release date announcement for Process, brought to us via Jamie XX’s Young Turks.
