Chances are that you probably aren’t too familiar with the Washington D.C. punk band Priests. With only the 2014 Bodies And Control And Money And Power EP under their belt save for some early self released tapes, one could say that in today’s frequent release fueled musical climate that they are definitely taking their time.

However, the good news is that the mostly female quartet have announced the release of their debut full length album Nothing Feels Natural on January 27th of next year via their very own Sister Polygon Records. To mark the occasion, they have also shared the official video for one of the album’s tracks, “JJ.”

Directed by Priests’ own Katie Alice Greer, the video is both funny and troubling at the same time, mostly due to the juxtaposition of images with the gruff lyrics of the song. While at first glance, the band members’ non-responsiveness to being poked, prodded and “prepped” for a spectacle might seem amusing, it is possible that something more nefarious could be at work as well.

Decide for yourself whether to laugh or to cry by watching “JJ” here, and no matter what conclusion you come to, grab Nothing Feels Natural in the new year if you dig what you hear!
