While you may have already gotten a glimpse of the Marvel universe’s Luke Cage through Netflix’s Jessica Jones, the character is getting his own show. Mike Colter will star in Marvel’s Luke Cage will be available to stream via Netflix on September 30.

Along with the anticipation for the series itself, there is also a lot of hype around the soundtrack, scored by A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and eclectic producer extraordinaire Adrian Younge. The hip-hop centric score is sure to pair up with the anti-hero’s antics and environment.

To celebrate both the release of the series and its accompanying soundtrack, the production company ArtDontSleep has announced that it will be staging “Marvel’s Luke Cage: The Live Score” at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on October 6. The event, curated by Muhammad and Younge, will feature Brainfeeder’s Miguel Atwood-Ferguson conducting a 40-piece orchestra as well as be hosted by comedians Wayne Brady and Russell Peters. No I.D. will also add to the festivities with DJ sets.

If you happen to be in LA October 6  and love Marvel, Luke Cage, or anyone involved in the show, then cop a ticket here. For those less fortunate, you can watch the latest Marvel’s Luke Cage trailer here.
