Thugger gets a re-brand ahead of "Jeffrey" release.

Avid hip hop fans know not to get attached to their favorite artists’ names. There’s a lengthy history of rappers and name changes that have taught us not to get too attached to monikers. The latest slated to change his stage name is Young Thug.

Ahead of his Jeffrey project release, Lyor Cohen of 300 says that Thugger will be changing his name. As told to Rap Radar, Young Thug’s new name will be No, My Name is Jeffrey.

As bizarre as this sounds, it may just be promotion for the project.

Let’s hope so, because No, My Name is Jeffrey definitely doesn’t have the same ring as Thugger.

Jeffrey is due out August 26, check out the track list below.
