Numbers don't lie.

Drake’s monster 2016 is coming to a close with a bang. The Toronto superstar’s Views project tallied the most sales on iTunes. This isn’t all that surprising, considering his close ties to the Apple conglomerate. Views beat out Rihanna’s Anti, Adele’s 25, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, and Justin Bieber’s Purpose for the top spot on the list.

In addition to having the number one album, Drake also garnered the number one purchased single on iTunes with his massive hit “One Dance.” The rest of the list is highlighted by Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” Rihanna’s “Work” which also features Drake, and others that followed Drake’s inescapable dancehall smash.

According to Apple, the list is determined by a combination of downloads and streams from Apple Music because the company is focused on music integration across all platforms. And if you’re thinking that Drake’s Apple ties had something to do with it, you’re absolutely right.

But that didn’t stop him from also beoming the number one artist streamed on Spotify this year as well as having the most streamed song in the history of the app on the streaming service. “One Dance” broke the record for most single streams with over 880 Million.

Drizzy has much to celebrate and a lot of pressure to follow up with his next project, More Life, which is set to release soon.
