Get ready to start screaming gun noises and moshing at the club again, Bed-Stuy’s spastic son Desiigner released a new incomprehensible anthem that will no doubt be stuck in your head by month’s end.
The ‘”Panda” rapper visited Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show this week to debut “Outlet,” a new track with booming, horn-blowing production with melodies reminiscent of Kanye’s “All of the Lights” - which only makes sense, as Desiigner preps his first studio album for ‘Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music.
Desiigner followed up “Panda” with the freestyle-turned-single “Timmy Turner,” taking a more melancholy tone than his initial hit that had rap fans and media personalities comparing the east coast MC to Future.
In his third track to hit airwaves, “Outlet” returns to Desiigner’s pumped-up origins, the first minute containing about as many gun clap samples as humanly possible. By the end of the four and a half minute song you’ll be muttering “Ballout champion, fallout champion” to yourself over and over and over again.
And in the same interview with Zane Lowe where he debuted the song, Desiigner was not shy about his plans to stick around in the rap game - unless that is, he can hitch a ride to space.
"I got millions and trillions I’m here to entertain.” Desiigner told Lowe. “If I gotta get to the next planet and it’s the first ship going up there and it’s a performance, I want to do that. You feel me? So I’m trying to just be everywhere man, just be everywhere."
We don’t know how he does it, but consider this a warning - you may as well blast “Outlet” on repeat now, because soon you won’t be able to escape it.
