It’s been almost four years since Joey Bada$$ affiliate and Pro Era member Capital STEEZ tragically took his own life, but that doesn’t mean his music died with him. His legacy lives on through his crew posthumously releasing some of his music, as well as the Steez Day festival in his honor. “King Steelo,” the first single off the upcoming full-length Capital STEEZ album of the same name came out last month.

It was at the second annual Steez Day, which took place in Los Angeles this past July, that the second King Steelo single, “Herban Legend,” and its video directed by The Family premiered. Produced by Kirk Knight, it finds STEEZ flowing comfortably and eloquently through a layered boom-bap beat.

The animated video takes on a whimsical tone, as a rather zooted STEEZ attempts to steer his friends in the right direction towards copious amounts of cannabis.

Light one up in Capital STEEZ’s honor, sit back, and enjoy the amusing story being told in the video below.
