Known for his diabolical and soberingly honest bars about Southern California street life, Vince Staples is as real as they come. The Long Beach rapper has just dropped his new single “BagBak”, an eye opening cut that addresses police brutality and racial prejudice in American politics.

On "BagBak", Staples spits with newfound passion over industrial and pulsating production, and touches on a wide range of pressing issues minority community faces on a daily basis. Although the thought-provoking rapper has found success through his own work, he remains focused on the bigger picture, verbally addressing the broken prison system and racial strife that continues to linger throughout the country.

“Until the president get ashy, Vincent won't be votin’/We need Tamikas and Shaniquas in that Oval Office/Obama ain't enough for me, we only getting started/The next Bill Gates can be on Section 8 up in the projects,” Staples vehemently preaches on the track.

Towards the end of the track, Vince fires shots at Donald Trump, the government, and the one percent, imploring them to “suck a dick, because we on now.”

All in all, “BagBak” provides a fiery source of empowerment for those fighting against oppression and racial prejudice in these turbulent political times. This political banger is the follow-up to Vince's conceptual and genre-bending Prima Donna EP, released back in 2016 alongside a breathtaking visual accompaniment

The latest single has surfaced just weeks before Staples embarks on “The Life Aquatic Tour” with Kilo Kush later this month. The tour will go through most of North America, so be sure to check out the dates below and catch Vince’s energetic live performance when he rolls through a city near you.
