Tristan Funkhouser Skates Like a Grown-A** Man

Watch T-Funk skate and destroy in his Transworld “Substance” video part.
Published on January 1, 2017

Since he’s legal (19 to be exact) we technically can’t call Tristan Funkhouser a “kid” anymore, but man is the California-native the epitome of grom-to-gold growth. It literally feels like it was only yesterday that fans were watching the little dude pop, rip, and fly out of anything and everything he could get his feet and board onto. Fast forward to winning FTC glory and gaining AM status on the well-respected Baker Skateboards, and it’s like watching a young, red-haired, falcon leave the nest in incredibly rare form!

T-Funk has since moved on to bigger and badder milestones, like getting his very own part in Transworld Skateboarding’s 27th video, Substance which released last January. His part, though initially made public for a limited time, is now permanently available for fans to peep and be inspired by.

Seriously, T-Funk skates all terrains—rails, curbs, hills, banks—with the passion of a newborn skate rat and the style of an OG veteran. It’s the kind of conundrum that we want to see more often in skateboarding.

Take heed young world. Supporters can purchase the entire video here.
