Even the biggest stoner you know is likely guilty of using the words “hemp” and “pot” interchangeably. Looking at the difference between the two can help you up your bud knowledge. 

While both products come from the same plant, “cannabis sativa,” they are used to very different ends. You may already know that hemp is used to make shit, and pot is the shit you smoke. But, there’s so much more to both crops, and their histories are as inextricably entwined as the plants themselves.
