Further proof that Brazil has no shortage of skateboard talent (see Exhibit A, and Exhibit B) comes by way of Enjoi’s newest pro rider Thaynan Costa. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native (who lives in Portugal) just ascended to the upper echelon industry status thanks to his amazing technical abilities and style on the board.  And to be honest, any wood pusher that skate for Enjoi, a house built by the likes of creative legends Jerry Hsu and Louie Barletta, gets an extra special star of pizazz in our book,

Thaynan's brand-new “Our Sweet Baby” pro edit is a very apparent homage to Enjoi’s artful heritage. It features tons of Hi 8 footage and quirky cuts all to a soundtrack of Eddie Murphy’s “My Girl Likes To Party All The Time”. Rick James produced that tune, FYI. But let’s not forget to mention Costa's skating amidst all of this, as it’s absolutely outside of the box and stunning. The dude’s lanky physique and unconventional skills on the ground and across rails makes for some unique sweetness.

Watch out for three minutes of footloose shredding. Thaynan’s fastplants, crooked grind nose grabs and his arsenal of varied tricks is treat for the eyes. It feels like binging on movie theater snacks without the remorse of calories or cost.

We won’t spoil the ender, but let’s just say that it’s a sex change that absolutely nobody was expecting. This baby’s got a promising future for real.
