When the Australian-based rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s came to formation back in 2010, it seemed like the group had one goal in mind, to keep heavy-hitting psychedelic and garage rock alive.

Eight studio albums later, and the band is still kicking ass and taking names, and have almost become robotic in their output of rock and roll. On their latest album, Nonagon Infinity, which was released back at the end of April, the band conjured up nine consecutive tracks that all flow seamlessly into the next, even from the closing track to the opening track, essentially creating an infinite album.

Recently, the band gave music video treatment to the opening song “Robot Stop”, a fast-paced track where frontman Stu Mackenzie seems to lament on the laborious and robotic nature of life in our modern society.

“My body's overworked/It's just the same I know/When can my body work/Cold static overload?” he sings.

For the music video, the group takes their fans on a hallucinogenic roller coaster ride through a red-tinted robotic world filled with gears and machines.  

The hard-hitting instrumentation rekindles the spirit of Black Sabbath, featuring roaring distorted guitar leads and impenetrable drum work. The band is made up of lead singer/guitarist Stu Mackenzie, guitarist Joe Walker (guitar, vocals), drummer Eric Moore (drums), harmonica/vocalist Ambrose Kenny-Smith, bassist Lucas Skinner, guitarist Cook Craig, and drummer Michael Cavanagh. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will be touring throughout the UK for the next month, and will then head home to Australia to play the Meredith Music Festival.
