People who these suppositories experience a different high, one that begins with a warm feeling in the pelvis, which then works its way up through the body. And yes, while the effects may feel good, there are also a few medical benefits that come from using suppositories, especially for women. It can help with menstrual cramps, muscle pain, gastrointestinal issues, and a few other ailments. However, it doesn’t mean that there are risks going this route, and there are some safety recommendations to consider if you’re thinking about purchasing cannabis suppositories.

"Rectally is actually a lot more preferred because of the volume of absorption," Mikhail Kogan, a director at the Center for Integrative Medicine at George Washington University, told Canada’s National Post earlier this year. "You can put a lot more and it gets absorbed a lot better, but not everybody is open to this way of administration."
