Despite some of his efforts leaning far from the overtly comic, Kill List and High Rise being poignant examples, if you ever watched his 2012 film Sightseers then you would know that director Ben Wheatley does have a taste for very dark comedy.

In the trailer for his new movie, Free Fire, Wheatley takes a whimsical stab at an action movie, which revolves around a shootout between two gangs in an empty warehouse over a bungled weapons buy. It stars Brie Larson, Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy and Jack Reynor, and boasts Martin Scorsese as an executive producer.

The trailer will definitely give you the gist of thing, but it looks irreverent, gory, action packed, funny and most of all; crazy.

Free Fire is slated to come out in 2017, you can watch the trailer here, you have more than adequate time to prepare for the on-screen madness.
