The former collaborators square off in a war of words.

The ongoing tiff between Kanye West and Kid Cudi has reached a head. After Cudi released a series of tweets denouncing ‘Ye and Drake, West fired back at Cudi at a stop on his Saint Pablo tour.

Here are the tweets in question:

Yeezy stopped his set dead in the middle of performing “Don’t Like” and let his sentiments be known in his true Yeezus rant manner.

"Kid Cudi, don't ever mention 'Ye name. I birthed you. We all dealing with that emo shit all the time... Don't ever mention 'Ye name. Don't try to say who I can do songs with. You mad 'cause I'm doing songs with Drake. Ain't nobody telling 'Ye who to do songs with. Respect the God!"

These two have a long history, since West served as Cudi’s mentor back when the Cleveland artist first gained popularity. They’ve recorded together on a number of projects, and Cudi even signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label. But Cudi left the label in 2013, and there’s been trouble brewing ever since.

We certainly haven’t heard the last word from either of these artists regarding this matter, so stay tuned.
