The GX1000 Squad Is Addicted To Skateboarding in “Adrenaline Junkie”

Death-defying skateboarding in San Francisco.
Published on March 24, 2017

For years now the GX1000 brand of raw street skateboarding has been dedicated to showcasing some of the best and most consistently dangerous riding around. Led by filmer/skater Ryan Garshell and based out of, but not limited to, the East and West Coast hubs of New York City and San Francisco, the committed coalition is a representation of hardcore, four-wheeled purity. There is an undisputed history of no frills, no gimmicks shredding that speaks volumes in 2017’s world of post-Internet fame and trends.

The GX crew’s latest visual assault, “Adrenaline Junkie,” proves to be, yet another example of their winning formula—incredible riding captured on a classic Sony VX 1000, scored to just the sounds of the streets and the board, #nomusic!

The usual suspects, including Brian Delatorre, Al Davis, and Ben Gore, along with homies like Tyler Pacheco, Jamal Gibbs and more lace this one to the bone. Viewers can expect 13 minutes of gnarly tricks on impossible terrain along with wild switch hill bombs, needle threading, interactions with livid or sketchy locals, and near-death experiences with oncoming traffic.

Yep, the edit’s name says it all. These dudes are absolutely addicted to the unsafe and we appreciate them for every death-defying second of it.
