As cannabis research has expanded, THC, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis, has been found to possess not only mind-altering effects, but also antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to the health benefits when inhaled or ingested, THC also has beneficial effects when applied topically. THC, as an antioxidant, has shown to decrease wrinkles and research is being done to assess the anti-inflammatory benefits of THC for treatment of conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. For beauty DIYers who wish to treat their skin, we've found the perfect recipe for a THC facial that can be enjoyed by everyone. For those in states that have yet to legalize, hemp-oil is the perfect substitution.

The Ingredients:

  • One ripe avocado
  • ¼ cup Hemp-Oil or THC-Oil
  • Two tablespoons spirulina powder
  • A couple drops of essential oil, your choice (optional)

Step 1: Set up your household blender. Cut, de-pit, then scoop the avocado meat into blender. Add hemp or THC-oil, spirulina powder and essential oil.

Step 2: Blend until the mixture has a creamy texture and cannabis-inspired green coloring. Transfer mixture to small bowl.

Step 3: Before applying the mask, wash your face with a cleanser or warm water.

Step 4: Now, apply the mask. Light up, wait blissfully for 15-20 minutes, then rinse.
