Stalwarts of the Japanese streetwear scene A Bathing Ape and NEIGHBORHOOD have once again joined forces with Adidas Originals for a new and one-of-a-kind take on the classic Superstar.

Melding the classic with the contemporary, the trio has produced a Frankenstein’s monster-like shoe that incorporates three generations of Adidas design. The overall silhouette of the Superstar a.k.a. Shell Toe remains but is accented by nods to Adidas PrimeKnit, Boost Technology, and elements of their popular NMD model.

Draped in gray premium suede and Primeknit, the BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals Superstar also features a BOOST unit along the medial side of the midsole’s instep.

It wouldn’t be a streetwear collab without logos! Nods to both brands and can be found below the iconic three stripes on both sides and the tongue of the sneaker, with additional call outs to BAPE, NEIGHBORHOOD, and Tokyo found on the NMD-like heel tab and strap.

Look out for more release info on these to come on February 4 from all three brands.
