We’ll be bringing you guests from the worlds of cannabis and culture to just kick back, relax, talk life and blow some dro with our editor-in-chief Noah Rubin. We’ll also be taking questions from our lit audience, so get ready to roll your favorite herb and chill with us for an online smokeout.
Joining us this week is Los Angeles rocker by way of Baltimore Lauren Ruth Ward. Fresh off a Valentine’s Day spent dancing at the Troubadour, Lauren helped us round out MERRY JANE’s California Week, reciting ganja-focused love poems and fantasizing about wine and port-flavored Backwoods blunts. After rolling the news with a joint of Blueberry Dome from THC Design and assuming the title of “Sativa Diva,” the vintage-tinged singer broke down her love for apple pipes and Joshua Tree, before exploring the THC and CBD-laden goodies in her very own Weekend Box. Once good and stoned, Lauren talked us through her childhood in Maryland and her path to musical enlightenment, opening up about her new album and its honest rock-and-roll vibes. Leaning into her spiritual side, Lauren found truth in Astrology Time, and accepted a need for peace, quiet, and just the right amount of aggression.
