An award-winning cannabis reform and social justice activist since 1989, Mikki Norris is best known for her book, "Shattered Lives: Portraits from America’s Drug War" based on the traveling photo exhibit, "Human Rights and the Drug War." She has worked and played a leadership role for the hemp/cannabis movement with her husband, Chris Conrad, to found several organizations, create educational materials, and publish ‘The West Coast Leaf’ newspaper from 2008 to 2013 (now, theleafonline.com). She has worked on several state and local campaigns, including Prop. 215 and 64. As director of the Cannabis Consumers Campaign, she is an advocate for equal rights, legalization, and an end to prohibition.
