President Trump Attacks Snoop Dogg on Twitter Over "Lavender' Music Video

Trump's attempt to "clown" on The Doggfather is pathetic.

Donald Trump just can’t give up Twitter. Despite promises throughout the campaign that he would scale back his loud-mouthed Internet personality, Donald has continued to rant and rave on the social media platform.

Restraint - along with spelling - does not seem to be one of the 45th President’s strengths. And now, less than three months into his first term, President Trump has taken his mind off Russia, the border wall and his taxes to publicly call out Snoop Dogg over a music video.

Trump’s comments stem from the recently released video for Snoop’s “Lavender” that we showed you a couple days ago. In said video, a clown named Klump gets a prop gun with a cartoonish “bang” flag fired at him.

Trump did not take kindly to the resemblance, tweeting “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!”

Trump wasn’t the first politician to take umbrage at the “Lavender” video, either. Florida Senator Marco Rubio talked to reporters from TMZ about the video, expressing his strong disapproval.

“Snoop shouldn’t have done that. If the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you could have a real problem. We've had presidents assassinated before... so anything like that is something people should be really careful about," Rubio stated.

The video’s director, Jesse Wellens, an Air Force veteran, isn’t on the same page as the fuming politicians.

“The ‘Lavender’ (Nightfall Remix) music video is a spoof.” Wellens said in a press release. “It is a satirical parody on issues that impact Americans. In this fictional story, clowns were chosen because their true emotions are obscured. The impenetrable face can mask reality, and we are asking viewers to question what they are really seeing.”

As for Trump’s claims that Snoop’s career is “failing,” we put together this incredibly scientific side-by-side comparison of Trump’s inauguration day crowd and a recent Snoop Dogg concert.

Draw your own conclusion, cuz.

Who’s poppin’ now, Donald?

Are you over 18?
