Seth Rogen teaches us how to properly prepare our bud in Rolling with Rogen, and now you can catch his latest cameo Bud Light's new commercial.
Let's face it, Bud Light is one of those brands known for having epic commercials. From the lovable Spuds MacKenzie dog in the '80s to the most recent politically-themed “Bud Light Party”.
The spot entitled “Weddings”, is an extension of the "Bud Light Party" Superbowl commercial, which reunites Seth Rogen and Amy Schumer who are celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month at a same-sex wedding.
The video shows Rogen and Schumer toasting the couple at a Bud Light-themed reception with a hilarious cameo by Schumer’s pal, Bridget Everett, who also was featured in last year's hit comedy Trainwreck.
This fun reception includes a drunken speech and an overzealous single lady throwing stiff arms during the bouquet toss. “Bud Light proudly supports everyone’s right to marry whoever they want,” Rogen says at the end of the clip.
The commercial also celebrates the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic ruling on marriage equality and will air during primetime television throughout the summer. It’s great to know that through Bud Light Rogen and Schumer are supporting efforts for people to vote, while also supporting the LGBTQ community as a whole.
“By featuring Seth and Amy at a same-sex wedding, we’re showing how all weddings — regardless of who is getting married — share many similarities and moments to celebrate,” Alex Lambrecht, VP of Bud Light at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement. “We created this spot because equality for all Americans is a concept that unites many Bud Light drinkers.”
