Rae Sremmurd released a new single titled “Look Alive,” teasing what’s to come on the upcoming album SremmLife 2.

The Mike WiLL Made It-produced track is airy with rapid-fire 808s and snares constantly moving the track forward with rhythmic force. It also helps that the Swae Lee-delivered hook is catchy.

Now, the duo’s song has received much love in the form of a viral video from SheLovesMeechie, an Atlanta-based dancer who popularized a dance he calls “hits”.

The dance has taken off and has been done by many artists and athletes including Future, 2 Chainz, Cam Newton, and Odell Beckham Jr.

In the video, we see Meechie and another dancer named Toosi, who has been just as pivotal in the “hits” movement.

The two dancers are going back and forth, using their movements to visually narrate the song’s lyrics. Most of Meechie’s videos find the dancer using each of his hits to address the track’s lyric bar-by-bar, and this is another notch in his belt.

The dance has spawned many others to upload their best attempts at showing their “hits.”

However, each video Meechie releases shows why he is the master of the dance, even going as far featuring Odell Beckham Jr. in one of his videos, who paid homage the Atlanta dancer by performing a unique take on the dance in Drake’s backyard.

No seriously.
