Not only does the San Diego Convention Center play host to “Geek Week” otherwise known as Comi-Con, but it will also be the place where the who's who of the cannabis industry will converge for the Southern California Cannabis Conference and Expo.

The SocalCC Expo will be the premiere gathering of industry professions, entrepreneurs, local leaders, companies, job seekers, and cannabis aficionados who will gather and learn more about what is currently happening in the world of weed.  The conference will feature seminars from experts including a sesh with MERRY JANE (details below). If you are curious about cannabis check out the exhibit hall ripe with products and services currently shaking the cannabis community.

There will be ample time for networking while attendees can learn more from advocates on living a health-conscious lifestyle. The expo gives goers an opportunity to learn from attorneys and lawmakers while giving buyers a chance to sample products launched at the event and goodies that have been on the market for some time.

Over 300 exhibitors are expected who will look to connect with over 1,000 attendees across the Southwest region.

Whoopi Goldberg, chairwoman of the cannabis company for women Whoopi & Maya was scheduled to headline the event which set the cannabis industry abuzz.

This week, however, organizers announced Whoopi would not be speaking, however she “wishes the organizers and attendees all the best and hopes she will be able to appear at the Expo in the future.”

There will be appearances by other woman who are making waves in the cannabis industry such as Cannamoms co-founder Moriah Barnhart and Cheryl Shuman, also known as “The Martha Stewart of Marijuana.”
