Willie Nelson’s brand is expanding. With the help of his wife Annie, Willie will continue his foray into the legal weed market with a new line of health conscious, strictly dosed chocolate edibles.

The country singer, whose name is essentially synonymous with weed, currently sells his “Willie’s Reserve” brand of buds at dispensaries across Colorado, Washington and Nevada. The new edibles will be under the same “Willie’s Reserve” umbrella, but will feature separate “Annie’s Edibles” branding.

The new sweets aren’t just a ploy to line the Nelson family’s pockets with more legal weed cash, however, as Annie is just as serious about her chocolate and Willie is about his ganja and guitars. She even boasts an exclusive “Zero Crap Policy” concerning the candy’s ingredients.

"I make my infused chocolates for people who want to enjoy gourmet cannabis chocolate in a controllable way," Annie explained in a press release. "It's important that my chocolates are suitable for those with diet restrictions - whether someone is vegan, has Celiac Disease or gluten allergies, requires a low or balanced sweetener diet or if they have a low tolerance to cannabis they can still enjoy the benefits of my infused chocolates."

Annie isn’t just melting down Hershey’s bars, either.

"Annie's Infused Chocolates are handcrafted, infused chocolates made from carefully sourced ingredients," The press release continues. "The chocolate comes from Fine & Raw Chocolate, who use consciously sourced ingredients and low-heat techniques to keep the chocolate's raw vitality and flavor."

To make sure that users can manage their consumption based on tolerance, Annie’s chocolates come in 5mg pieces, so novice cannabis users or microdosers can better manage their intake, while experienced users can eat as many squares as they wish for a stronger effect.

“Annie’s Edibles” have already rolled out at a dozen pot shops in Washington State, but with Willie’s brand behind them, it shouldn’t take long before the infused chocolates make their way to dispensaries across the rest of the legal weed states.
