There once was a time when Brazil’s sporting legacy was synonymous with soccer and soccer only. Now, thanks to renowned riders like Rodrigo TX, Leticia Bufoni, Tiago Lemos, and our current subject, Luan Oliveira, athletic real estate is quickly shifting over to the four glorious wheels of skateboarding.

Global behemoths like Nike and their ubiquitous SB program have a huge influence on how the culture and business proliferates around the world, so when Luan’s “One For All” part gets world-premiered on the Nike SB website, all international eyes are on deck. Pun very intended.

Luan’s meteoric rise in the international ranks of skateboarding has easily made him a superstar of the scene. At 26 years-old and straight out of Grande do Sul, the slim-built ripper has a cat-like tenacity for ledges, drops, and one of the fastest tre flips in the world. He’s quick, passionate, and very much a hero’s archetype to young Brazil’s up-and-coming rippers.

With Tokyo 2020 looming, will Luan represent Brazil in skateboarding’s official Olympic debut? Likely.
