Since the beginnings of his career notoriety, Chris “Mango” Milic has always been known for his alternative ways of using the skateboard. And it’s not just a gimmick to compensate for any lack of abilities either; the dude is a true technical wizard who first blew up on the mainstream scene as a rider for Welcome Skateboards two years back. The Arizona-raised skater has since moved on from Welcome to form his own company, Frog Skateboards, with friends and fellow skateboarders Jesse Alba and Pat Gallaher.
Though visiting the company’s website visually and sonically feels like getting ready to play a Super Nintendo game, the whimsical and imaginative theme of Frog and the crew takes on more physically tangible means via their new edit dubbed “frog hd ( my g )”.
The clip features both Jesse and Chris creatively putting it down on crusty streets, spots, and parks in New York City, and boasts as a special guest appearance from Hjalte Halberg.
Just because the terrain is rough, it doesn’t mean you can’t let your tricks get free-spirited. It also helps that Polaris’ “Hey Sandy”—a ‘90s alternative rock track made incredibly popular by Nickelodeon’s “Pete and Pete” series—plays throughout the edit.
This is a quirky and fun one definitely worth watching!
