Before MTV’s Jackass, Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness, or even YouTube, there was Big Brother Magazine—the most controversial and coveted skateboard-centric outlet of its time.

Born of a declining industry, and straight up rebellion from World Industries founder Steve Rocco, the magazine became a powder keg for unfiltered comedy and chaos that birthed trends and careers for years to come, even after its demise.

Dumb, a new Hulu documentary premiering June 3rd, sets out to dive into the history of Big Brother. The task no doubt required a very special lens and access to the cast that made it happen. Everyone from Bam Margera, Tony Hawk, Chad Muska, Johnny Knoxville, and more take a seat and a stab at attempting to unravel the cultural significance of the craziness that went down.

Directed by Epicly Later’d creator Patrick O’Dell, Dumb reveres the genesis of Big Brother as “unprofessional, amateur and beyond dumb.” Given that, it seems that Dumb couldn’t be moreappropriately named.
